Day 01. Arrive Paro

Flight into Paro with Druk Air, Bhutan National Airline. The flight takes you over the great Himalayas, offering the most beautiful scenery of the world’s highest glacial peaks. Your dream to visit the Dragon Kingdom finally unfolds as you enter into Paro valley with its rich terraced farm land and also famous for oldest temples, monasteries, and the national museum. Your representative from Bhutan Everest will be waiting for you at the airport. After completing formulates, you will drive through fascinating valley of Paro to Thimphu, the capital, which takes about one and half hours. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 02.Thimphu

Soon after your breakfast, you will enjoy full day of sightseeing that includes: Memorial Chorten, National Library, Handicrafts Emporium, Painting school, Textile Museum, Mini Zoo, Traditional Medicinal Institute and Trashi Chhodzong.

Day 03 .Drive to Punakha

3 hours drive to Punakha, the winter residence of chief abbot and also was the capital of Bhutan until 1955. The road climbs for about an hour till you reach a pass at Dochula at an altitude of 3050m. There you can have a look around 108 Stupas built in 2003. This pass offers the most spectacular view over the high peaks of the Eastern Himalayas. However, the peaks can be seen only on a clear day especially in the month of October to February. The eastern Himalayas would appear that God has covered the peaks with a white shawl as if to protect it from the cold. The road then descends a long way to Punakha -Wangdue through temperate forest of rhododendrons and magnolia bloom in mid -March and last till May, then a semi-tropical zone where orange trees, banana trees and cactuses are found in abundance. After your lunch at the hotel in Punakha, visit the outskirt of Punakha Dzong situated in the confluence of two rivers. Entering inside the courtyard of the Dzong can be permitted only if the head lama is moved to Thimphu for his summer residence. Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.

Day 04.Drive Wangdue to Paro

After your breakfast, drive to Wangduephodrang which takes about 20minutes. Visit the town and the Dzong area and continue to drive to Paro via same road to Thimphu until the road bifurcates at Simtokha checkpoint. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 05.Paro

After your breakfast guide will escort you on excursion to the Taktsang monastery “Tiger’s Nest”. This monastery is located on the cliff-side overlooking the valley is awesome. After lunch general sightseeing of Paro valley that includes: Ta Dzong which was built as a watch tower during inter-valley wars of the 17th century to defend Rinpung Dzong, Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang. Drive to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 06 .Drive to Airport for onward Destination.

In the morning, our guide will escort and assist your departure formalities, and they will bid you farewell and wish you safe journey back home.

Package # 02

(09 Nights/ 10 Days)

Day 01 . Arrive Paro

As you enter Bhutanese air space by Druk Air, you will begin to get glimpse of magnificent snow speaks and numerous lovely valley and then soon arrive at Paro airport, the most beautiful valley to be greeted and received by Bhutan Everest staff who will direct you to the capital city Thimphu, which takes about 2hours by car. Overnight in hotel.

Day 02. Thimphu

In curiosity, you could visit the national memorial Chorten and would find in it various matters of interest. Thereafter, your visit would led to Dubthop Lhakhang, which is one of the few surviving nunneries followed by visit to the national library stocked with ancients Buddhist manuscripts, and to the painting school to draw your attention to painted sacred Buddhist religious scrolls.

After lunch, your valuable attention would be drawn to ancient medicine practices at the traditional medicine institute, royal silver smith, Bhutan hand made paper factory, and a visit to a Tashi Chhodzong, which is the seat of the central monastic body and the national government and finally to the handicrafts Emporium for souvenirs. Overnight in hotel.

Day 03. Thimphu – Punakha

Another fascinating drive through greenery surrounded by hills and mountains towards Punakha, the road leads to the highest point called Dochula Pass where there are 108 Stupas built in 2003, from this point you can have panoramic views of snowcapped mountain ranges of the eastern Himalayas as if God has covered it with a white shawl to protect it from the cold.

Here you may stop for tea, view the scenery and have refreshments and then descend without ignoring any sight coming across till you reach the Punakha Dzong located Phochhu and Mochhu (Male & Female) rivers. The Dzong and the two rivers add exclusively to the scenic beauty of Punakha valley. Over night in hotel.

Day  04. Punakha – Wangdue – Trongsa

A short drive after breakfast along the meandering riverside, you reach a wide valley of Wangdue. From a distance, before reaching Wangdue, you can catch the glimpse of Wangdue Dzong located on the spur of a hill at the confluence. You can make a short stop and click your cameras to add your photo album some unique scenery.

A fabulous 6 hours drive from Punakha takes you to Trongsa traveling through forests of pine and cedar festooned with hanging lichens, rhododendrons and dwarf bamboos. Pack lunch will be provided at Pilela Pass (3,300mts) or at Chendebji Chorten. A fascinating views of Trongsa Dzong from a distance of 16km. Finally, after a long drive you reach Trongsa to lodge for the night.

Day 05. Trongsa – Bumthang

While in Trongsa, go out to see the massive Trongsa Dzong, which is ancestral home of the ruling dynasty. Then you may go to visit the Ta Dzong an ancient tower that displays ancient Mongol armory, and then drive to Bumthang valley, which is one of the most beautiful places in the Himalayan region and stay over night at the Bumthang lodge.

Day 06.Bumthang

After breakfast, you visit sacred places, shrines and monuments and get a glimpse of Jakar Dzong, and famous Bumthang yetha (woolen cloth) being woven and then visit the woodcraft centre. Overnight in lodge.

Day 07 .Bumthang – Thimphu

This ends the trip and you return via Trongsa and Wangduephodrang. Pack lunch will be arranged on the selected spot on the way. It would be a long and adventurous trip back to Thimphu viewing scenery on the way, which perhaps you would certainly enjoy. Over night in hotel.

Day 08 .Thimphu- Paro

After breakfast, you may go around Thimphu town to do souvenir shopping. You may also find curious Bhutanese items in shops for sale. Then a guide will escort you to Paro. After lunch, visit the places of interest namely Drukgyel Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang. National museum and the Rimpong Dzong. Over night in hotel.

Day 09.Excursion to Taktsang

(Tiger’s nest Monastery)

After your breakfast, drive to north of the valley. The car can reach you for about 2km from the main road and then you hike up through the meadow following the ridge till the café. Relax at the café with refreshment. Continue another an hour up to the hill till you reach the closest point. Return and have your lunch at the café. After lunch, descend down to the valley and drive to the hotel.

Day 10.Fly out to onward Destination

In the morning, our guide will escort and assist your departure formalities. After completion of the necessary formulates, they will bid you farewell and wish you safe journey back home.
